LETTER FROM
THE SENIOR PASTOR
Letter from the Senior Pastor
May 2009

Reverend
Dr. Ted Klein
Senior Pastor
Church on the Hill, Swedenborgian

Dear Members and Friends of the Church on the Hill:

In the month of June this church year will come to a close. It has been a year of great challenges, much healing, and much growth. Think about what this church year has meant to you. Think too about ways you night have gifts to share in the church, and ways you could grow from sharings of others.

The ending of this year needs to be the starting point for future growth, with the next church year and beyond. What would you like to see happen in the church? What visions for the church do you have? I invite your wishes, visions, and actions.

My own feeling about the church is that it is alive, well, and growing. Among the challenges are to continuing to nurture team spirit or community spirit, to move more and more toward being a whole where the diverse gifts of many are welcome. Another challenge is to continue actions of caring and service beyond ourselves, finding further ways to be of service in the world. With these challenges comes an opportunity for each of us to be part of making a difference for good.

This year I have learned to grow in the Senior Pastor role and still be a listener, It has been a great adventure! I am grateful for so many who have been with me in the church this year. I want to give special thanks to those I’ve most closely worked with - Rev. Dr. Tina Saxon, Maria Mackenzie, Mary Guarino, Ed Mackenzie, Mike Banciewicz, Jack Snedeker, and Susanne Rogers. Many thanks for being part of a great team!

Many Blessings to each of you!
Love and Best Wishes,
Ted
